Jim Cramer and UGG’s

Wednesday, October 28th, 2009

Mad Money’s weekly Off the Charts segment is a chance for viewers to learn comparative stock analysis, the very decision making that Jim Cramer used as a hedge-fund manager. He studies the charts to find the best stock among a group of two or more and then uses fundamental analysis as the final judge before he makes his call. And right now he’s loving UGGs In fact, on his television show he was wearing his own pair of UGG Boots and got on a table to show viewers. From what I could tell they looked like men’s UGG Classic Boots in chocolate.

Some of the reasons that Jim Cramer loves UGG boots stock is because of the loyalty and performance of their key customers and the quality of management.

Deckers sells UGGs, the popular brand that even garnered several Oprah endorsements. UGG accounts for 70% of the company’s sales, and business is good, especially with the release of new products that comes with every fall season. Jim Cramer thinks Deckers has done a great job of getting its shoes to its target customers, too.

So Remember – UGG Boots aren’t just a fashion statement for women. They are amazingly comfortable and warm for everyone. And if you’re one of Cramer’s fans, do yourself a favor and get a pair of UGG Boots so you’ll know exactly what he’s talking about

Off the topic of stock picks, I caught Jenni Pulos, of Bravo TV’s ‘Flipping Out’ looking very cute in a pair of black leggings and black UGG Cardy boots worn pulled up. I also caught one of the Housewife’s of Atlanta, Lisa Wu Hartwell lounging at home in a pair of UGG Tasman slippers in chestnut.

UGG’s For Fall

Monday, October 12th, 2009

Fall has definitely begun up here in North Idaho, and as usual, it is spectacularly beautiful. The temperature has cooled down enough in the evening and morning so that the first thing I look for is my warm UGG boots. I use a pair of Classic Short UGG Boots in burnt olive (an old color) as my main house slippers. One of the benefits of this is when I happen to forget to change shoes before I go to town to run errands, so what? I still look alright and my feet are still warm and comfortable. I’ll bet I’m not the only UGG Boots wearer who does this.

Though my burnt olive UGG boots are an old color I am definitely lusting for a new color. Have you seen the new lineup? I think it’s the most colorful selection ever. I love the Pacific blue

which is a beautiful teal color, but Eggplant could win out

as it’s so rich looking and a perfect fall color. And don’t even get me started on all of the Metallic UGG boots !

While grocery shopping this weekend I spotted a cute girl wearing black leggings tucked into a pair of Classic Tall Women’s sand color UGG Boots. When she turned away I saw that there was a big hole in the side of her left boot. It looked as if a puppy had chewed the heck out of it. So thinking quickly, I quietly introduced myself to her and handed her one of my business cards for Snow River, the UGG boots store in town. I told her I understood her love for her UGG Boots but if she’d like a new pair, I’d give her a discount for them. She laughed and said she would definitely take me up on the offer.

Now you know one of the reasons why many people choose to live in very small towns. The people are friendly.

Not Just Your Mother’s UGGs

Saturday, October 10th, 2009

Last week while visiting San Francisco with my daughter, I saw a mother and two of her daughter’s shopping in a famous department store. They were all wearing UGG boots. The mom had on a pair of chestnut classic short UGG boots, one daughter was wearing classic tall chocolate UGG boots (with jeans tucked in) and the youngest was wearing classic short gray UGG boots. I thought, “hmmm, there’s about 25 years here between the mom and the youngest, yet they’re all wearing UGGs. ” What that told me was something I’ve always known but it’s always interesting to see. And that something is that UGGs are not a fad. They aren’t going away. So all you people out there who hate UGG boots, who think they’re ugly and wish they would go away … Get over it ! Have you seen those ads for jeans labeled “Not Your Mother’s Jeans”? Well, I thought of that when I saw the mom and her daughters. Not your mother’s UGGs.

Then my daughter and I an uncontrollable urge for more of the fabulous lattes from the little hole-in-the-wall Italian coffee shop we found. So off we went. I, by the way, was wearing a pair of UGG Bettey shoes. I wore them all over the city for three days, never got blisters or even noticed my feet. That’s pretty comfortable in my book.
