Mural of miners in blue overalls on a large building wall.

Miners Mural

Dedicated to the thousands of miners throughout the 80+ year history of iron ore mining from the 1880’s to the mid 1960’s.

The Miners Mural located on the corner of McLeod Ave. and Suffolk St. in Downtown Ironwood. The men in the mural represent the thousands of men who worked in the Gogebic Range Mines of Michigan and Wisconsin. May we honor them for their tremendous contribution to the development of this great nation. There are two murals within walking distance of each other in Downtown Ironwood. (source)
