The New Snowriver
WITH OVER $15 MILLION IN UPGRADES NOW IS THE TIME TO VISIT THE OLD INDIANHEAD & BLACKJACK MOUNTAINS.
With the change in ownership, a new era has begun at Snowriver Mountain Resort. Midwest Family Ski Resorts is investing in the renovation and improvement of infrastructure and facilities at Snowriver Mountain Resort over the next few years. Over $15 million has been invested in Snowriver Mountain Resort since the former Indianhead & Blackjack were purchased in August 2022. Check out a few of the many improvements that have been made across the resort!
The U.P.'s Only High Speed Chairlift
Snowriver is proud to be the first ski resort in the Upper Peninsula to offer a high-speed lift. Serving up 538' of vertical in just over 3 minutes, you're legs will be tired before your toes get cold!
The Voyageur Express 6-Pack Chairlift has revitalized the skiing and riding experience at Snowriver Mountain Resort's - Jackson Creek Summit (old Indianhead.). This state-of-the-art lift was installed over the summer of 2023 and made it's debut in December!
Complete Renovation to the Lodge at Jackson Creek
Rooms in the old Indianhead Lodge & Suites have been updated with new furnishings, flooring, and bathroom fixtures to modernize these buildings and bring additional comfort and space for guests.
The Lodge at Jackson Creek, as it is now known, features the most modernized rooms in ski industry within the Upper Peninsula. All 20 rooms in the main lodge have been fully renovated.
Brand New Retail
Both Jackson Creek Summit and Black River Basin got a retail upgrade! We can meet your winter apparel needs, from toe warmers to goggles and bottle openers.
Plenty of Snowriver Mountain Resort logo wear is now available for purchase at either mountain chalet.
EXTERIOR TICKET WINDOWS
These were added to the Sugar Maple Chalet exterior to allow for more area inside the chalet for more seating and guest space.
With this addition, we added two more sales points that will enable us to keep up with ticket demand, cutting back on wait time.
Dudley's Tavern
Dudley's tavern, located within the lodge at jackson creek, has been completely remodeled to offer up an after ski bar experience with live music each weekend and holiday.
enjoy a drink while you cozy up to the bar and listen to local musicians!
Renovated Pool & Hot Tub
The pool and hot tub at the Lodge at Jackson Creek have been completely renovated with new fixtures, furniture, and surroundings creating an inviting location to enjoy after a day on the slopes.
Legacy Restaurant
Legacy Restaurant is located in the Lodge at Jackson Creek. Open daily, Legacy offers sit down dining in a relaxed, remodeled restaurant. Located on top of Jackson Creek Summit, attached to The Lodge main lobby. Over the summer Legacy has been fully remodeled from the ground up with new carpet, walls, and a brand new menu.
Legacy will also be the restaurant to host breakfast here at the resort.
