Snowriver Mountain Resort spans two mountains—Jackson Creek Summit and Black River Basin, which are separated by a brief shuttle ride.

After two years of major renovations to its chalets and lodge, Snowriver is now home to the only high-speed chairlift in the Upper Peninsula, the Voyageur Express 6-pack at Jackson Creek Summit, which reduces lift times from nine minutes to just three minutes from bottom to top.

Come ski the Upper Peninsula's most diverse terrain and enjoy legendary powder days following lake-effect snowstorms.

Jackson Creek Summit

Jackson Creek Summit is our main base area, offering full services and skiing for all ability levels including a dedicated beginner area and the U.P.'s only high-speed lift, the Voyageur Express.

At Jackson Creek Summit, our  newly renovated Sugar Maple Chalet is open daily with our main ticket office, retail, multiple food & apres ski options with live music, Rossignol rental & performance center, and ski school. Jackson Creek Lodge, right across the parking lot, offers slopeside lodging with a newly updated pool, spa, fitness center and sauna and Legacy Restaurant.

Black River Basin

Both peaks are open daily during the regular season, with Black River Basin opening at 1:00pm. Monday-Thursday (an opportunity for fresh powder even for late risers!). The Black River Basin Chalet is open with limited services for tickets and standard rentals but will not have food service M-Th, so guests are encouraged to take advantage of the full services at Jackson Creek Summit. Friday-Sunday and on Holidays, Black River Basin opens at 10:00am (1 hour after Jackson Creek Summit) and offers ticket, standard rentals and F&B services in the Black River Basin Chalet.
