Snowriver Mountain Resort is at the heart of the stunning Upper Peninsula motorcycling country.

From Lake Superior shoreline rides to old-growth tree canopy roadways to wild backcountry forest roads, motorcycling enthusiasts from across the Great Lakes Region have been adventuring to Snowriver for years.

Moto rallies, weekend getaways, iron butt rides, and regional club meetups are the perfect opportunity to combine the freedom of a wilderness ride with the camaraderie of shared experience and passion.

Snowriver Mountain Resort is the combination of a stunning summit vista with a campus which is home to lodging for hundreds of riders. A complete ski destination resort beautifully repurposed for motorcycling from May - October.

Whether your two-wheeled appetite runs in the BMW vein, Goldwing or ADVenture bike, our route maps, staff, leaders/organizers are keenly adept at delivering a great motorcycling getaway.

Motorcycle Touring

Our resort is central to stunning day rides in all directions. Take the Keweenaw Peninsula MI-26 shoreline highway near Copper Harbor, or the miles of perfect paved sweepers through the Sylvania Wilderness Area. 

Explore the Wisconsin county highways touching the MI borderlands to South Boundary Rd in the Porcupine Mountains Wilderness. Epic views of the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore from Washburn, Bayfield and Cornucopia are an easy day ride (don't forget the easy and memorable ferry jaunt to Madeline Island). The paved riding from your Snowriver basecamp simply couldn't be better.

Our staff and moto leadership is acquainted and able to share regional highlights (great views, great stops) and practical guidance right down to fuel stops and good dining spots. We love motorcyclist guests. You'll love your stay and your two-wheeled adventure here in North Coast Country.

Adventure Riding

Snowriver Mountain Resort has been a special destination for the GS, Super Adventure, Dual Sport and other like-minded, "off-the paved stuff" riders for years. The U.S. Forest Service Road network spanning the western U.P. is both vast and perfect for full-on, hundreds-of-miles per day riding.  Excellent gravel roads through lake-dotted, dense forest lands, along with little traffic provide an infinite selection of routes directly from our resort.  Guest riders have shared how truly singular the western U.P. forest roads are for endless moto exploring.

Beyond forest roads, you'll find a stunning combination of two-track trails and Jeep roads, single-track areas, and everything in that spectrum--the full range of off-road motorcycling terrain and routes.

Inquire at our activities desk for paper and electronic routes and maps along with must-see stops, good dining options, gas stops, and the like.
